I had planned to spend some time creating a number of long exposure images of the weir at Mosal Head. The day started brightly,it was a cold frosty day, but with some lovely winter sunshine and blue skies.
I set up to shoot a 4 minute exposure, using a Lee 10 stop ND filter. It was at this point I experienced a load of trouble with the wireless remote shooting multiple images. To cut a long story short this took about 30 mins to resolve,it was faulty, the wires in the link cable were short circuiting.
By this time the blue skies had long gone and the weather was changing. There was now an another enemy, rain drops. These were on the filter, and showed up on the first test shot.Hoping all was not lost I sat with my finger on the shutter release, for those agonising 4 minutes, with my woolly hat shielding the top of the camera.
I got the image, without the clouds. I have had to invest in another remote trigger on my return home. Ah well it will save the old knee caps, when perched at the side of a fast flowing river.
